History
Stanpro's story has evolved through strategic vision and innovation. From electrical products to specialized fixtures, the company embraced change and technology. A merger united these strengths, creating a leading Canadian lighting provider dedicated to illuminating North America.
65 years of progress

A Leading Canadian Lighting Company
As one of Canada's largest privately owned lighting companies, we deliver innovative solutions across North America. With over 350 professionals in design, engineering, and distribution to serve your needs.
Born from the 2020 merger of Standard Products Inc. and Stanpro Lighting Systems, we operate as STANDARD PRODUCTS INC. with the STANPRO™ brand, continuously driving innovation across the continent.
We specialize in serving construction projects, retrofit initiatives, and national accounts. Our direct engagement with specifications, contractors, and end-users, coupled with our support for our distributor network, ensures our products meet market demands and client needs.
Stanpro's journey began with a simple import business in Montreal, which evolved into a focused provider of electrical products under David Nathaniel's leadership.
Recognizing the growing demand for specialized lighting solutions, he then established a separate company to manufacture commercial and industrial fixtures. Over time, both entities expanded their product ranges, embraced emerging technologies like LED, and strengthened their market presence.
