NORTRAX FACILITIES IN ONTARIO
Nortrax specializes in new and used equipment sales, equipment rental, and product support. Its facilities in Barrie, ON needed an upgrade of their lighting system to improve overall lighting and reduce energy costs. Stanpro recommended a complete solution to modernize the lighting system in the shop, the warehouse, the showroom, the employees’ room as well as the building’s offices.
  • All the 458 watt metal halide high bays were replaced with a 6-lamp T5 HO high bay that consumes 342 watts;
  • All fluorescent T8 lamps that consume 32 watts were replaced with fluorescent T8 lamps that consume 28 watts per lamp;
  • And on the perimeter of the building, all the 400 watt metal halide wall packs were replaced with LED wall packs that consume 80 watts.
All these changes allow the Nortrax facility to reduce its energy consumption by 35% and to see a return on its investment in less than 5 months. In addition, Stanpro helped Nortrax with the submission of the project to the Ontario Energy Board, thus giving Nortrax a significant rebate for the upgrade.
