EFC encourages students to continue their education
It is in a very special context that the EFC (Electro-Federation Canada) announced the maintaining of its scholarship program! This initiative, set up several years ago, supports college and university students who wish to develop a career in one of the following departments: electrical engineering, electrical technologist / technician, industrial distribution, sales, marketing, finance , human resources, supply chain operations, logistics, management of data analysis or information technology.
Thus, more than $ 140,000 was paid out in 55 separate scholarships this year.
Our involvement
For its part, Ascot Capital Group, the parent company of Stanpro, is involved in this scholarship program each year because it wishes to encourage the next generation of workers and inspire future leaders in the industry. Ascot® therefore awarded a scholarship of $ 3,500 to a student who demonstrated academic excellence and who completed two years of studies in business administration / commerce while having maintained a minimum cumulative average of 80%.
The recipient of said 2020 Ascot® Excellent Scholarship is Rhea Thakore, a student from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. Rhea is currently completing her studies in Commerce (Business Administration). Rhea also has a background in business and law and is considering a career in the legal side of the electrical / electronics industry.
Having met all the eligibility criteria with flying colors, Rhea won the 2020 Ascot Excellence Scholarship!
In short, the EFC scholarship program is now made an annual tradition for Stanpro which, as mentioned in its vision statement, is an integral and empathetic organization that cares for and supports the members of its community!
