In line with EFC’s Power to Build Program, STANDARD is teaming up with the electrical industry to support the Habitat for Humanity Canada mission: building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the circle of poverty in Canada.

STANDARD, as the Habitat for Humanity national corporate lighting sponsor, provides all the lamps for every home built across Canada in 2017. Join STANDARD’s efforts in supporting Habitat for Humanity Canada, and be part of something bigger than any one of us.

Habitat for Humanity Carter Project in Canada

For over 30 years, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter have traveled throughout the world with Habitat for Humanity and thousands of volunteers, donating their time and voices to build and improve homes alongside Habitat homeowners. Their time and efforts help raise awareness of the critical need for affordable homeownership. Read more about the 2017 Carter Work Project. In July 2017, President and Mrs. Carter will bring their energy to cities across Canada for the 34th Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project. While the project will take place all across Canada, President and Mrs. Carter will focus their efforts in Edmonton, Alberta, and in Winnipeg, Manitoba. During the build week, the Carter Work Project will deliver 150 homes across Canada. To support this initiative, STANDARD is donating ceiling luminaires to light the bedrooms and kitchens of these homes.

Join Hands with STANDARD to Give to Habitat for Humanity

STANDARD is donating a portion of the proceeds for every LED ceiling luminaire sold. LED ceiling luminaires are the ideal energy-saving solution for commercial and residential applications. They are easily installed and offer comfortable lighting in closets, utility areas, hallways, offices and bedrooms. All products in the LED ceiling luminaire line, including the following products which will be launched throughout the year, are part of this program.
