Energy consumption and GHGs
The lighting in all our facilities has been upgraded with the latest technologies in order to reduce our energy consumption. Energy efficient luminaires have been installed everywhere needed and motion sensors have also been installed where possible to further reduce our energy consumption in less occupied areas.
Material consumption
Through our marketing efforts, we use environmentally responsible practices such as online catalogue viewing, electronic ordering, and online access to product manuals. The use of social media networks and electronic advertising is favored over paper advertising. This change allows us to significantly reduce the amount of paper and ink used.
The use of plastic packaging materials has been virtually eliminated by converting used cardboard boxes into packaging materials; allowing both to reduce the volume of residual materials and to use environmentally friendly materials.
Waste
We work diligently to prevent waste from going to the landfill by encouraging and training our employees to reduce, reuse and recycle. All waste, including products that have reached end-of-life, is handled suitably and in accordance with applicable regulations.
