Stanpro revamped the entire lighting assembly of a seniors’ residence at Lac-Brome, in Knowlton. This refit helped create a warm and friendly atmosphere while significantly reducing energy consumption and maintenance work.
This appealing residence was equipped with a good quality lighting structure. Unfortunately, it was not energy efficient in the least; maintenance staff was often called upon to change the conventional halogen and incandescent bulbs. Moreover, the system generated a great deal of heat; so much so, that some residents burned their fingers when attempting to turn out the light in their rooms.
Stanpro replaced the entire conventional lighting as well as the proximity lighting system with GU10 and PAR 20 LED bulbs. Stanpro’s proposed LED technology offers a life span of up to 50,000 hours; moreover, the lights give off very little heat.
“It’s definitely much cooler than what we had in the past; our people are no longer at risk of burning their fingers” declared one of the co-owners of the residence.
