Grafton Fraser Inc. is the leading Canadian retailer of men’s apparel and operates through its retail chains. The organization is comprised of 4 menswear divisions across Canada: Tip Top Tailors, George Richards Big & Tall, Mr. Big and Tall, and Kingsport Big and Tall Clothiers.
The company wanted to update the lighting system in all its stores to enhance the true colors of its merchandise and to reduce maintenance and energy consumption costs in more than 120 of its stores all across Canada. STANDARD suggested replacing all the halogen and CFL technologies with LED equivalents. Now, all track lights are lit with bright, sustainable PAR38 and PAR30 LED lamps.
The True Colour of the Products
With a colour temperature of 3 500 K, the ties, suits, pants, shirts and other products sold in the various retail stores are brighter and closer to their real colour. Look at our blog article “Select Lighting to Enhance the True Colours of your Store Merchandise” to have more information on that topic.
“Now, our customers don’t have to bring their clothing selections closer to the windows to understand what they’re buying” explained one of the sales representatives.
Plus, the old halogen technology used to burn so quickly that every week the stores’ employees needed to replace one lightbulb after another. Now, they don’t have to worry about it anymore since LED lamps last up to 25 times longer than halogen lamps.
Turnkey Energy Savings Assistance
STANDARD took care of processing all the necessary documentation and forms that will enable Grafton Fraser to obtain all the rebates it is entitled to receive from the various utilities services across Canada.
