METAL HALIDE LAMPS Metal halide (MH) lighting systems can be characterized by white light, long life, and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, such as big box retail, shopping malls, auto dealerships, grocery stores, gymnasiums, arenas, outdoor sports lighting, highbay industrial, cold storage, and parking garages and lots. |
CERAMIC METAL HALIDE LAMPS Ceramic metal halide (CMH) lamps combine the white light of metal halide lamps with the added benefit of high CRI. These lamps are typically used in retail stores, accent lighting, display lighting, flood lighting, malls, lobbies, and colour critical applications. |
HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM LAMPS High Pressure Sodium lamps (HPS) generate a yellow/orange light which is much more energy efficient than mercury vapour lamps. The most common application for HPS lamps is streetlighting. |
MERCURY VAPOUR Mercury vapour lamps are mostly sold as replacements for existing installations. It is very rare to see new installations equipped with mercury vapour lamps. They can still be found in some manufacturing or industrial sites, utilities, roadway or parking, and landscape applications. |
LOW PRESSURE SODIUM LAMPS Low Pressure Sodium lamps (LPS) also known as SOX lamps can be used for roadway lighting, security lighting, or any application where colour rendering is not important. LPS lamps are generally not used in new construction. |
