HALOGEN LAMP SHAPES
J TYPE HALOGEN LAMPS: J type halogen lamps are double ended. They are available in a variety of bases and wattages, such as a pin blade and recessed single contact. They are mostly used for restaurants, display cases and high-end accent fixtures. JC TYPE HALOGEN LAMPS: JC type halogen light bulbs are low voltage halogen capsules with pin bases. They can be used in retail applications, under-cabinet, landscape and museums. JCD TYPE HALOGEN LAMPS: JCD type halogen lamps are line voltage (120-130 volt) halogen capsules with pin bases, such as GY6.35, G4 or G6.35. They can be used for retail applications, under-cabinet, landscape and museums. JD TYPE HALOGEN LAMPS: JD type halogen lamps are tubular shaped and run on line voltage. They are used in display cases, retail stores and restaurant. JD halogen lamps can have DC/BA15d, E11, or E14 bases. JT TYPE HALOGEN LAMPS: JT type halogen lamps have a glass a hard glass outer jacket surrounding the capsule to ensure easy handling. JT lamps can have medium E26 bases. They are typically used for lounge, general and display applications. JDR TYPE HALOGEN LIGHT BULBS: JDR type halogen lamps, similar to MR16 lamps, are halogen reflectors with either a screw-in (E17/E26) or GU10 base. JDR type lamps can be used for track lighting and many other applications. MR8 HALOGEN LAMPS: MR8 low voltage halogen lamps are a small reflector with a pin base (G4). MR8 lamps are found display cases, track lighting and offices. MR11 HALOGEN LAMPS: MR11 low voltage halogen lamps are reflectors with a pin base, typically the base is a DC/BA15d or a G4/GZ4. MR11 lamps can usually be identified by their ANSI codes which detail the lamps specifications. They can be used for track and recess lighting, residential and retail applications as well as restaurants. MR16 HALOGEN LAMPS: MR16 low voltage reflector halogen lamps with pin bases can also be identified by their ANSI codes.
