FAQS: COMPACT FLUORESCENT DIMMABLE LAMPS

STANDARD offers a wide range of quality compact and cold cathode fluorescent dimmable lamps. They are available in a variety of shapes and colours to create ambiance and lighting effects in residential and commercial applications.
Unlike incandescent and halogen lamps, fluorescent lamps are not designed to dim to 0% since a certain amount of power is required to maintain an arc between the cathodes (filaments).
Standard’s dimmable CFL and CCFL lamps have a dimming range of 100% - 20% when used on compatibles dimmers.
Standard’s dimmable CFL and Cold Cathodes (CCFL) should only be used on modern analog dimmers manufactured after 1995. They are not intended to be used on digital dimming systems.
